Who are we?
Upland Environmental is a small family owned and operated business based on the Coastal Otago/Clutha District boundary, 30 minutes from Dunedin and 40 minutes from Balclutha. After servicing the Waikato North for the past 2 year’s we felt it time for a change and have now settled for the long term in the south.
After working for the Department of Conservation for 5 years in the Central North Island, including significant time spent at the remote Pureora field base, Callum decided it was time for a change and the concept for Upland Environmental was born. Together with his partner Jamie, the wheels began to turn and the business was established at the end of 2020.
Upland Environmental is established on the basis of passion for the outdoors and conservation of New Zealand Aotearoa’s diverse bush. Spending extensive time backcountry while juggling other careers meant the founding of Upland Environmental was a natural progression of hobby to livelihood. The basic outline of how Upland would look was developed on trail and in huts, figuring out how best to service a large area in a variety of ways. Our goal is to fill the niche of hard to access projects with the means to provide great service in the most hard to reach places.
Currently servicing longstanding contracts from the King Country north, Upland Environmental is equipped to complete new rural and remote contracts in the North Island with the ability to tailor solutions to your project. Get in touch to discuss your needs and what we can do to help.
